Distributed IP-Surveillance Display and Management Platform - 48 "port" base system
OnSSI’s NetSwitcher is a Virtual Video Matrix Switch software platform used for displaying and reviewing video, live and recorded, in ‘video wall’ mode (i.e., when a controller interface is used for displaying video on other display screens.)
It provides a technological breakthrough in matrix switching by completely eliminating all matrix switching hardware, and replacing it with one small server, which provides an unlimited number of inputs, outputs and control panels, assuring its compatibility with future surveillance needs.
NetSwitcher enables video wall operators to route any camera to any monitor utilizing automated event-driven pop-ups and investigation tools, including digital PTZ into recorded images. The NetSwitcher touch-screen controller interface employs dynamic-map navigation and drill-down to cameras, for intuitive, one-click routing of any camera to any screen, in the control room video wall, remote public display screens, or other users’ desktop monitors.
Using touch-screen and graphical keypads as controllers, users can drill down from a complete campus map to a layout of every single floor and department, with camera locations and viewing directions. Tapping or clicking on any camera icon will display it on any video wall display monitor or PC screen, on or of premises.
NetSwitcher enables incorporating video content analytics systems, as well as physical security systems (access control, contact closure, traffic loops, etc.) that automate the event detection process, producing filtered, events-only video with clear indication of exceptions and alerts. This, in turn, allows controlling an unlimited number of cameras and display monitors by relatively few operators with shared event handling capabilities among multiple controllers at multiple locations.
NetSwitcher consists of four software components: Server, Administrator, Controller, and Viewer.
1. Server: Holds all Database & Licensing information and stores all NetSwitcher configurations
2. Administrator: Program Interface used to configure system
3. Controller: Operator console interface used to manage Cameras and Viewers, and handle events
4. Viewer: Displays NetSwitcher Video
NetSwitcher is sold as a single server class license allowing the installation of the NetSwitcher-AServer on a single server or workstation. An optional backup-server license class is available allowing the installation of the NetSwitcher on a redundant machine belonging to the same entity in a single postal address (site).
Please note the following:
1. NetSwitcher is sold in several base system sizes, based on “total ports” (NetSwitcher-AServer-nnn). Inputs (cameras), monitors and control panels are then added to this base system.
2. Each camera in-use by the NetSwitcher, whether an IP camera or analog camera via a video server, requires an input license (NetSwitcher-Input).
3. Each monitor in-use requires a monitor license (NetSwitcher-Viewer).
4. Each concurrent control panel (Operator’s console) in-use requires a controller license (NetSwitcher-Controller).
5. A one-year Software Upgrade Plans (‘SUP’) is available for all NetSwitcher components. The SUP must be purchased for all system components (including the NetDVMS and NetDVR NVRs).
